Restore. Strengthen.Rebuild.
Red Cord Ministries was founded in response to the growing needs of women and families in the Northeast Connecticut region and surrounding areas. What began as outreach through speaking engagements, creative workshops, and faith-based gatherings has grown into a broader ministry committed to restoration, healing, and long-term stability for women and their families.
In its early years, the ministry was shaped through leadership, advocacy, and creative expression offered by Theresa LaCasse, alongside faith communities and local partners. These efforts brought attention to the emotional, spiritual, and practical challenges many women face—particularly those navigating recovery, trauma, and major life transitions. From worship art and group facilitation to recovery-informed support, Red Cord Ministries has always centered its work on compassion, dignity, and the belief that healing happens best within supportive community.

As the ministry has grown, so has its vision. Red Cord Ministries now operates with a collaborative approach, supported by educators, mentors, volunteers, and community partners who share a commitment to strengthening families and empowering women. One ongoing focus has been addressing critical gaps in stability—especially access to safe, affordable housing and vocational support. The organization continues to explore sustainable solutions that allow women to heal, gain skills, and move forward with confidence while remaining connected to their children and community.
